OVERVIEW
This group is designed to be a safe space for mothers in the postpartum period (third trimester to 2 years postpartum). Participants can be new or experienced moms.
WHAT TO EXPECT
In this supportive environment, you can expect support from a licensed therapist and other moms, practical tools, and a compassionate space to process your experiences.
Each session will involve a self-reflective exercise followed by group discussion and processing. The group facilitator offers insights from clinical knowledge and research on perinatal mental health.

Understanding perinatal mental health
Addressing the questions, struggles and wins of parenting
Processing grief, shame and anger
Exploring ways to connect with baby/children and partner
Navigating identity shifts and transition to motherhood

COST: $40 per session*
DURATION: Members can attend for different lengths of time depending on needs.
This is an open therapy group with rolling admission, meaning new participants can join the group as space allows. We maintain clear group agreements, confidentiality and time for introductions so new members can integrate comfortably.

FACILITATOR INFO
Connie is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), perinatal mental health professional and mom of three who is excited about creating welcoming spaces for moms to connect, learn and thrive. She earned her Master’s in Social Work from UIC’s Jane Addams College of Social Work and Perinatal Mental Health Certification from Postpartum Support International.
